How we handle your personal data.
This notice explains what personal data Athnova Solutions Ltd collects through athnova.com, why we collect it, who we share it with and the rights you have over it.
1. Who we are
ATHNOVA SOLUTIONS LTD ("Athnova", "we", "us") is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. We are a company registered in England and Wales, company number 15171331, with our registered office at Churchill House, 137–139 Brent Street, Hendon, London NW4 4DJ.
We also develop and operate Seshnova, which has its own privacy notice. Links from this site to seshnova.com are to a separate website.
You can contact us about anything in this notice at hello@athnova.com.
2. What we collect and why
Enquiries you send us
When you use the contact form on this site, or email us directly, we collect the details you choose to give us. The form asks for your name, company, email address, the area you'd like help with and, optionally, a message. We use this information to respond to your enquiry, to understand what you need and, where appropriate, to follow up about our services.
Technical and usage data
Our hosting provider keeps standard web-server logs, which can include your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and timestamps. These are used to operate the site securely and to diagnose faults.
If you accept statistics cookies, we also use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site — for example which pages are viewed, roughly where visitors are located and how they arrived. Analytics is off by default and only runs after you consent. See Cookies and analytics.
What we don't do
We do not sell personal data. We do not use your enquiry details for automated decision-making or profiling. We do not knowingly collect data from children; this site is intended for business audiences.
3. Our lawful basis
Under UK data-protection law we need a lawful basis for each use of personal data. Ours are:
- Legitimate interests — responding to enquiries, following up on potential business relationships, and operating, securing and improving this website. We have balanced these interests against your rights and consider them proportionate for a business-to-business advisory firm.
- Consent — for statistics cookies and Google Analytics. You can withdraw consent at any time using the cookie settings link at the foot of every page.
- Contract — where an enquiry leads to an engagement, we process the data needed to enter into and perform that contract.
- Legal obligation — where we are required to keep records, for example for accounting purposes.
4. Who we share data with
We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf under contract. They may only use it to provide their service to us.
| Provider | What they do | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Formspree, Inc. | Receives contact-form submissions and delivers them to us by email. | United States |
| Vercel, Inc. | Hosts and serves this website, including web-server logs. | United States, with global edge network |
| Google (Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC) | Google Analytics — website usage statistics, only with your consent. | EU / United States |
| Usercentrics A/S (Cookiebot) | Records and enforces your cookie-consent choices. | Denmark (EU) |
We may also disclose personal data where required by law, to professional advisers under a duty of confidentiality, or as part of a business sale or restructuring, in which case the recipient would be bound by this notice.
5. International transfers
Some of the providers above are located outside the United Kingdom. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on safeguards recognised under UK law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or an adequacy decision covering the destination (which includes the European Economic Area). You can ask us for more information about the safeguards we rely on.
6. How long we keep data
- Enquiries — kept for up to 24 months from our last contact with you, unless the enquiry leads to an engagement, in which case the data is kept for the life of the relationship and for a further six years to meet our legal and accounting obligations.
- Web-server logs — kept by our hosting provider for a short rolling period for security and fault diagnosis.
- Analytics data — held in Google Analytics for no longer than 14 months.
- Consent records — your cookie choices are kept for 12 months so we can honour and evidence them.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you;
- Correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- Erase your data in certain circumstances;
- Restrict or object to our processing, including any processing based on legitimate interests;
- Port data you have provided to us to another provider, where technically feasible;
- Withdraw consent at any time where consent is our lawful basis, without affecting processing that took place before withdrawal.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@athnova.com. We aim to respond within one month. We may ask you to verify your identity before acting on a request.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first.
8. Cookies and analytics
This site uses a consent banner provided by Cookiebot. Strictly necessary cookies — which record your consent choices — are always set. Statistics cookies for Google Analytics are set only if you choose to accept them. You can change your choice at any time: .
The declaration below is generated by Cookiebot and lists the cookies currently in use on this site, their purpose and how long they last.
9. Security
This site is served over HTTPS. Access to enquiry data is limited to the people who need it to respond to you. Our providers operate under their own security programmes; where they are outside the UK, the transfer safeguards described above apply.
10. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice from time to time, for example if we change providers or introduce new features. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
